Welcome to Friday here at World of the Scribe. I hope you get to enjoy the up and coming weekend, but before you get into that I’d like to make some announcements.
First, I want to thank Draven Ames for bestowing the Write Hard award upon me. It’s come to my attention that I should pass this award along, and so I shall. I have seven unique individuals in mind for this award. If you get the chance, congratulate them by going to their blog and commenting. Thanks!
Without further delay, here they are in no particular order.
Stephen Tremp. His “Breakthrough” ideas on wormholes are always a delight to read, as well as his features called bits and pieces and Kibbles N Bits. He’s done a blog tour or two already, and is always ready to promote his fellow author whenever the need arises.
Talli Roland. I admit I’m not too familiar with Talli’s work as of yet, but I have it on good authority that she is worthy of this award. So I’m passing it along.
Jen Daiker- Again, another one who I’ve only just started to follow, But from what I’ve heard the Write Hard award would not be a bad thing to hand out to her.
Alex J. Cavanaugh-Okay, I know I don’t know a couple of the recipients really well yet, but this one I do. How can anyone not have heard of CassaStar’s rock star by now? I don’t think a week has gone by recently where I don’t make mention of Alex in some shape or form. And with him working on revisions right now, he really and truly is writing hard.
Karen Gowen-Yet another new face I’ve stumbled upon in the Blogosphere realm. What is going on here, Jeff? How can someone I hardly know win an award so readily?
Candace Ganger-And another one I hardly know. Okay, this is starting to reek of conspiracy. Something’s amiss, right?
Arlee Bird-Fine, fine. This one I do know, too. Arlee Bird is a leader in the blogosphere community and has much to offer writers, readers, and probably lots of other people, too. In fact, it is because of Arlee that I have given the Write Hard award to four people who I’ve nothing in common with except for writing.
And this. My second announcement I’d like to make is that I, along with the seven individuals I’ve showered with awards, am helping to coordinate the upcoming:
Big Stuff. I know. At first I was surprised that I’d have been chosen to partake in this. But after Alex saw my outline for my February posts, it became clear to him that I’d fit the bill perfectly. So I’m in. Especially if it means helping others out to make the challenge a success. I already post 22 times a month. And I’ve already determined that I’ll do something I haven’t done yet on the blog, using the Saturday postings for this exercise.
That’s pretty much it for announcements, and for this lengthy week of six posts here at World of the Scribe. Next Tuesday kicks off Leaders week, where in honor of President’s Day I’ll be celebrating four true and fictional heroes who just display great feats of leadership.
But wait. What about my Monday post? Hmm. Well, as much as I hate to leave a cliffhanger, I think the surprise I have in store for you will be well worth the wait. Have a great weekend, everyone!
To Be Continued…

Wow, in two weeks you go from joining A-to-Z with some trepidation to co-hosting? Impressive. Clearly, when you decide to do something you go all out. That's a great quality to have.
Oh, and don't wait too long to post on Monday. I can only cling to this cliff face for so long...
Karen: It's easy to burn the midnight oil when you've got a day job that keeps you up at night.
Jamie: It's definitely shaping to be an interesting experience for me, that's for sure.
Misha: I always try to have something to keep the interest flowing.
Jules: That's okay, you can catch my next outline March 1st!
Summer: Thank you. I like to help writers in need. There's just something just so wonderful about doing so.
Arlee: And that's what I try to shoot for with my writing. Going for originality. I know every story under the sun has been told, but still...
Melissa: Thank you! I'm glad you find my blog to be a fun stop on the information superhighway!
Michael: I'll make sure to keep them coming!
Nate: I gotta keep my readers hanging in suspense long as I can, don't I?
